En esta trayectoria de crecimiento y consolidación, mantenemos nuestro compromiso de escuchar atentamente las necesidades, las críticas constructivas y el feedback de los guionistas y participantes que forman nuestra comunidad, y, desde la dirección del Festival, agradecemos sinceramente los mensajes recibidos que, sin lugar a dudas, nos hacen crecer y seguir ofreciendo un servicio de calidad.
Después de tres años de vida, nuestro principio fundacional sigue siendo el mismo: diferenciarnos mediante un servicio único y gratuito de informes de cobertura profesional. Estos análisis, realizados por lectores especializados, son, según nuestra experiencia, una herramienta indispensable, no solo para perfeccionar cada proyecto, sino también para impulsar el desarrollo artístico y profesional de sus autores.
Reconocemos el creciente impacto de la inteligencia artificial en la creación narrativa. Mientras algunas iniciativas optan por vetarla, nosotros la consideramos una herramienta auxiliar, válida si se emplea con criterio y transparencia, por lo que ningún guion recibido será descalificado por haber utilizado IA en algún momento de su desarrollo. No obstante, nos parece fundamental subrayar que el Villa de Rota Writing Film Festival nunca ha empleado ni empleará inteligencia artificial para leer, evaluar o generar informes sobre los guiones presentados. Nuestros informes son el resultado del análisis experto de profesionales del sector con amplia trayectoria, cuya única misión es aportar una visión crítica y constructiva para que cada guion alcance su máximo potencial.
Fieles a nuestro espíritu de innovación y apoyo al autor, y manteniendo la gratuidad de este servicio, presentamos la principal novedad de la edición 2026:
Un proceso de evaluación en dos fases.
Una vez recibido el informe inicial de nuestros lectores, los autores podrán revisar su guion incorporando las sugerencias recibidas y volver a enviar la nueva versión para una segunda consideración. Este proceso no solo aumentará las posibilidades de ser seleccionado finalmente en el Festival, sino que también otorgará el derecho a recibir un segundo informe profesional sobre la versión mejorada.
Para garantizar la viabilidad de este sistema, nuestros lectores de guion se comprometen a entregar cada informe en un plazo máximo de 30 días hábiles desde la recepción del guion, lo que permite tiempo suficiente para su revisión y reenvío.
La tarifa de inscripción —aplicable tanto a guiones nuevos como a segundas versiones— se rige por los mismos plazos y precios publicados en nuestra web, sin coste adicional por la reevaluación.

On this journey of growth and consolidation, we remain committed to attentively listening to the needs, constructive criticism, and feedback of the screenwriters and participants who form our community. On behalf of the Festival’s management, we sincerely thank you for all the messages we have received, which undoubtedly help us grow and continue to offer high-quality service.
After three years, our founding principle remains the same: to stand out by offering a unique and free professional script coverage service. These analyses, conducted by specialised readers, are, in our experience, an indispensable tool not only for refining each project but also for fostering the artistic and professional development of their authors.
We acknowledge the growing impact of artificial intelligence on narrative creation. While some initiatives choose to ban it, we consider it a valid auxiliary tool when used judiciously and transparently. Therefore, no submitted script will be disqualified for having used AI at any stage of its development. However, we believe it is crucial to emphasise that the Villa de Rota Writing Film Festival has never used, nor will it ever use, artificial intelligence to read, evaluate, or generate reports on submitted scripts. Our reports are the result of expert analysis by seasoned industry professionals whose sole mission is to provide a critical and constructive perspective to help each script reach its full potential.
True to our spirit of innovation and support for authors, and while maintaining the free nature of this service, we present the main new feature for the 2026 edition:
A Two-Phase Evaluation Process.
Once our readers’ initial reports are received, authors will have the opportunity to revise their scripts and resubmit the revised version for a second review. This process will not only increase the chances of final selection in the Festival but also grant the right to receive a second professional report on the improved version.
To ensure the feasibility of this system, our script readers commit to delivering each report within 30 business days of script receipt, allowing sufficient time for review and resubmission.
The registration fee—applicable to both new scripts and second versions—follows the same deadlines and prices published on our website, with no additional cost for re-evaluation.
